Matt began at Lockport in the summer of 2016 as the associate pastor and is now the solo pastor since October 2021. Matt is passionate about spiritual formation, preaching, teaching, and helping others study the Bible and seeing how it connects to their life. Matt holds a Bachelors degree from Bluffton University in mathematics and has a Master of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary. Matt and his wife Megan have three children, Natelie (2017), Zoey (2019), and Robbie (2022). Matt is enjoying putting down roots in the community and continuing to grow where God has planted him.
Matt enjoys things other than the Bible so if you want to pick his brain about numbers, soccer, Star Wars, Marvel movies, the latest book he has read, the latest recipe he’s tried cooking or baking, music, pruning fruit trees, tending a garden or the coolest new board game on kickstarter he is more than happy to talk about those things too!
